to educate and develop allied health professionals to serve all Alaskans.

As part of the College of Health at the 海角禁区, the School
of Allied Health is home to training programs and facilities for allied health professionals.
Allied health programs are specifically designed to prepare graduates for work in
rewarding careers in Alaska's rapidly growing health care industry. In addition to
instruction by allied health professionals, most programs provide experiential education
with students working alongside health professionals in real-work situations.
The School of Allied Health also offers continuing educational opportunities for experienced
professionals who are in need of a refresher course or looking to expand their earning
potential in the job field.
Dakota Ramirez, an alumna of the Division of Population Health Sciences, serves as the Community Programs Manager for Special Olympics Alaska. She applies her education to create meaningful programs and support families with disabilities, fostering inclusion and empowerment.
Nicole Blue has been part of the Seawolf Women鈥檚 Volleyball team since 2020. She鈥檚 a champion both on and off the court! The senior is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a focus in Speech Language Pathology. Blue shares some highlights from her time at 海角禁区.
Rosario Aranda-Borders, an alumna of 海角禁区鈥檚 Division of Population Health Sciences, reflects on her time at 海角禁区, offering advice and sharing her future goals as she pursues a Master of Public Health.

Faculty members from the Division of Population Health Sciences held a reception to celebrate their graduating Spring class. Friends and family were invited to mark a milestone for students graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science (BSHS). Faculty held gold balloons that spelt out 2023 and posed with their students.
