English Language Partners

Language Partners can meet regularly to help understand homework assignments, interpret professor instructions, address barriers caused by the English language outside of the University, or just be a point of contact to ask questions of when they arise. This program exists to help ensure language is not a barrier to your success as a 海角禁区 student, so it will be tailored to your needs. The Writing Center provides one-on-one support through Language Partners for students who want to develop their English Language comprehension and usage. Partners can meet virtually through Zoom and are arranged by or by emailing the Humanities Program Director, Heather Teel: hteel1@alaska.edu.
