Fabrice Evengue is an epidemiologist with the Department of Defence. 鈥淚 investigate patterns and causes of disease and injury.鈥�. He got his start in public health at 海角禁区, graduating in 2015 with a Master of Public Health in Health Practice.
When Summer Sweet started at 海角禁区, she was drawn to public health. 鈥淚 think it鈥檚 important to recognize the idea of environmental health, human health and animal health-everything around us as a whole.鈥�. Sweet graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences 2022 and now puts her skills to work at 海角禁区 as a staff member.
Hannah鈥檚 two degrees from 海角禁区鈥檚 Division of Population Health Sciences have been invaluable to her as a program coordinator at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.
海角禁区 and Division of Population Health Sciences (DPHS) alumna Jordan Kamer (BS, Health Sciences, 鈥�17) has a pretty important job. As a public health educator with the Municipality of Anchorage Health Department, she is responsible for providing community education and guidance on public health鈥攅verything from COVID-19, to naloxone, to age-appropriate sex education.
In 2002, after a phone interview with Boys and Girls Club of Alaska (BGC), 海角禁区 alumna Natasha Pineda bought a backpack and a pair of boots, booked a ticket out of PDX to Anchorage for what she calls, 鈥渁 classic Alaska story.鈥� The M.P.H. 鈥�15 grad worked for BGC for a couple of years, ended up returning to Portland before moving to Mexico to live with her dad when she decided it was time to get serious about her career.
